The Landscapes Lab
Welcome to the Landscapes Lab, a space where community, students, and farmers come together to explore and learn about our diverse landscape. Here, we enable citizen science and data collection to fuel knowledge-sharing to help protect and enhance the landscape. Together, we can cultivate a deeper understanding of the environment and how to protect it.
Get Involved
Farmers
A place to share knowledge and experiences, our lab serves as a venue for Farm Clusters to engage in discussions on soil health. It is also home to Grounded Lab, who specialise in agricultural soil analysis. Providing insights into chemical, physical, carbon, and biological metrics.
Students
A-level students and beyond can utilise the lab for soil science studies. Access to this space is available through school trips or independent data collection, tailored to meet their curriculum requirements. This hands-on experience allows students to deepen their understanding of soil health and its vital role in ecosystems.
Community
Volunteers of Caring For Our Rivers are working towards establishing a comprehensive understanding of local waterways to enhance environmental stewardship. By utilizing citizen science, they gather valuable data that informs decision-making processes aimed at promoting a healthy ecosystem.
