To avoid confusion, we allocate each guest to a certain pitch. At the entrance to the campsite is a notice board with the pitch number and guest name written on it. Upon arrival, please find your allocated pitch and make yourself at home. Please note we can only confirm your pitch number upon arrival as this depends on configuration of bookings at the time.
  • When is check in & out
Camping check in: 14:00 – 20:00 Camping check out: 11:00 If you think you may be later checking in, please give us a call to let us know on 01308 488280

All our pitches have individual electric hook-up and water.
  • Does a hardstanding pitch have a grass area?
Yes. There is a hardstanding area for your van and awning and also a grass area, to relax on.
  • Can I put my van on a grass pitch?
Yes! You can select a grass pitch for vans on our online booking system.
  • Can I bring my dog as an extra?
Absolutely! We love well behaved dogs so please be sure to add them as an extra to your booking. Although we ask dogs are kept on a lead onsite, there are plenty of local walks to explore, a designated area for walks, and an apple orchard which is perfect for your dogs to run around and play. Up to 5 dogs can stay on a pitch.
  • Do you accept group bookings?
We limit group bookings, to keep the campsite quiet & peaceful for all our guests. Up to 4 adults are allowed per pitch. A group can book up to 3 pitches, with a total of 6 adults across these pitches.
  • How many toilets and showers do you have on site?
We have a female toilet block, containing 4 WCs. We also have a male shower block, containing 3 WCs. Additionally, we have 4 unisex showers. Also onsite is 2 hot water washing up sinks and each pitch has it's own cold water supply.
  • Do you provide caravan storage?
Yes, we do. Caravans can be stored in our self-storage site. Unfortunately, we are currently full and cannot store any more caravans at this time.
  • How far is the closest shop?
We have a small shop at our reception stocking some essential items. Bridport Town is approximately 10 mins. Here you’ll find several supermarkets, petrol stations, pubs, restaurants etc.
  • How close is the site to Bridport?
Bridport is a lovely little market town 10 minutes drive along the B3162.
  • What amenities are in Bridport?
Bridport town has all the amenities you’ll need, such as a laundrette, petrol stations and supermarkets. We recommend popping in on Wednesday or Saturday morning to stroll through the markets. Our favorite treats are; Grabbing a coffee & cake from "Soulshine", picking up a curry from "Spice & Rice", or browsing the lovely wines at "Selected Grapes". If you’re looking for some evening entertainment, our local theatre - Electric Palace - regularly has plays, live music or films.
  • How far is the beach / seaside?

Sadly, there aren’t any bus routes nearby. We would advise getting a taxi to your destination. Or, getting a taxi to Bridport and catching a bus from there. Sia Taxis: +44(1308) 423660
  • The lanes look narrow – will I get my van through?
We have lots of lorries and caravans entering our site daily, so you shouldn't have any problem getting yout van through! However, we are situated in the Dorset countryside and we are surrounded by narrow lanes. Therefore, please do not rely on a SatNav to find our campsite. Instead, drive to Salway Ash via the B3162. Then head down Ash Lane. You will be driving down a country lane for less than half a mile, before turning left into Pineapple Estate. We are signposted from Salway Ash, but we will also email you directions 3 days before your booking commences. You can also find directions on our Contact Us page.
  • Where is the closest pub?
If you fancy a drink, we have a couple of options: - Hare and Hounds, Waytown (about a mile from the campsite) - Dorset Nectar. Enjoy a local cider whilst sat among the apple trees. (0.6 miles away from the campsite) - Furleigh Estate. The local vineyard sell wines by the glass. A lovely view of the grape vines & countryside. (1.8 miles away) - Anchor Pub. Enjoy a pint in Salway Ash (0.8 miles away) - Pymore Inn, Pymore (about 2 miles from the campsite) Bridport town also has a number of places to drink including The Ropemakers, Woodman or Pursuit of Hoppyness are all lovely. If you fancy a cocktail, head to Dark Bear.
  • Can I request a pitch? (book, save, reserve etc)
Sadly not. Our system does not currently allow pitches to be saved. However, we have listened to what guests have said and have now broken the campsite up into different areas. Meaning, when you book you have a lot more control on where you will be on the campsite. We've named each area of the campsite after the flora & fauna that grow there - super cute!
  • Can I bring an extra car, van, bobby tent or gazebo?
Yes. These can be added when you're making your online booking. If you want to add extras at a later date, please contact us and we can add it for you.
  • Can we bring a fire pit or BBQ?
You may bring your own firepit or BBQ, but it must be risen off the ground. This is so it doesn't burn the grass. For this reason, disposable BBQ's are not permitted. Each pitch has a fire pit that you're more than welcome to use, free of charge. We have made the fire pits from recycled washing machines, so they're recycled and perfect for keeping you warm! Wood must be purchased from our shop. We say this, as the wood we sell is well seasoned. This is important, if the wood isn't seasoned, more smoke is given off negatively impacting fellow guests stay. Charcoal must not be used in our complementary firepits either. This is for a couple of reasons; Charcoal is often treated making it toxic to soil. As we spread the ash onto our land, it would be detrimental to the ecosystem. Charcoal also burn very hot, causing potential warping or damage to the fire pit. Fires must be extinguished by 10pm at the latest.
  • How do we get wood & fire pits?
We have been busy making more fire pits, from recycled metal. Each pitch now has it's own fire pit. It will be on your pitch when you arrive and you're more than welcome to use it for free. We do ask that guests buy the wood from our little shop. This can be ordered in advance, via our shop webpage or bought from our shop, during your stay. Please collect your wood from our Shop & Reception during its opening hours. Charcoal must not be used in our complementary firepits. We ask wood is bought from our shop, as the wood is dried to a high standard. Reducing air pollution and therefore, making a more enjoyable experience for other guests. Charcoal cannot be used as it burns too hot and may damage the firepit. Charcoal is often treated with chemicals that are toxic to the soil. This is also a concern for us, as we spread the ash on our farm as it's a good source of Potassium.
